The Fourth of July is a great day to enjoy the park with its waterfront beach, fishing pier, and splash pad. The park has nature trails, bicycle trails, horseshoe pitches, a rock climbing wall, and more to keep you busy all day. In the evening, you’ll find plenty of space to spread out your picnic blanket or lawn chairs and relax while you wait for Llano’s spectacular fireworks show.
One July 4 celebration isn’t enough in Llano – Saturday, July 7, 2018, the Riverfront really rocks at Rock’N Riverfest! Watch Jet Skis Drag Racing on the Llano River. Racers compete for cash prizes, and are open to the public with proper equipment. Check out the display of RAT Rod Cars- you can even show off your own “One of a Kind Ride.” Fun events include a Disc Golf Tournament, Washer Tournament, Pet Parade, Watermelon Eating Contest, and BBQ Cook-Off.
You’ll find plenty of summer activities for all ages, from horseshoe pitching to face painting, plus food vendors with good eats. Admission and parking are free. Saturday’s Independence Day celebration ends with Llano’s second giant fireworks show – they claim they have “The best displays of fireworks in all of the Texas Hill Country”!
