Fall harvest time is coming to the Hill Country, with tree-ripened apples in its orchards, pumpkin patches, corn mazes and festivals like the Llano River Pumpkin Float. You’ll find all of this fall fun as close as half a mile and no more than 30 miles away from our Mustard Seed Bed and Breakfast on the Llano.
Apple Valley Orchard
Apples are the first harbinger of fall in the Hill Country, ripening in nearby orchards in August and September. Apple Valley Orchard, just 10 miles south of Llano, boasts over 500 apple trees producing different varieties from Gala to Mollies Delicious to Fuji. They sell freshly picked, tree-ripened apples, fresh pressed apple cider, apple butter and more. Visit Apple Valley Orchard’s Facebook page for more information about the varieties currently being harvested and their schedule, including some of the area’s farmers’ markets.
